- Quinnipiac standout Queenie Lai was ousted in a playoff by Kaitlin Shee of St. John's but earned a second-place finish at the Lehigh Women's Golf Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Lai's 77 also paced the Bobcats to a second-place team finish at the rainy Saucon Valley Country Club.
- All six Quinnipiac golfers improved on their scores in the second round of play and the team score improved by 14 strokes from 318 to 304.
- Quinnipiac women's golf head coach John O'Connor has named juniors Queenie Lai and Elena Ybarra as the program's captains as the Bobcats move into the spring portion of the 2019-20 season, as announced on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
- "Queenie and Elena have become leaders for our team over the last three years," said O'Connor. "They are looked up to and consistently perform as exceptional role models. Both young ladies have proven to be excellent golfers, outstanding students and now leaders. They will be leading the smartest and most gifted student-athletes that I've had the privilege of coaching.
- Quinnipiac women's golf coach John O'Connor has announced the Bobcats' schedule for the Spring 2020 season. Quinnipiac will compete in five tournaments in preparation for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship on Apr. 24-26 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- "I'm excited for the spring season and preparing for what should be five very competitive tournaments followed by our MAAC Championship at Disney's Magnolia Course," said O'Connor. "Having four tournaments in the South, followed by one tournament at the Hartford Invitational in April, should give us plenty of opportunities to fine-tune our game but also give us some good competition and chances to win."
