Bobcats Drop MAAC Title Game vs. Marist

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Quinnipiac men's lacrosse fell in the title contest of the 2019 MAAC Tournament vs. No. 1 Marist by the final score of 15-14 on Saturday, May 4 at Tenney Stadium.
With the loss, the Bobcats 2019 season comes to an end. Quinnipiac went 9-7 in 2019, advancing to the title contest of the MAAC Tournament for the third time in program history. The Bobcats recorded a winning MAAC record for the fourth time in six seasons since joining the conference in 2013-14.
Senior Foster Cuomo paced the Bobcats offensively with four goals and two assists for six points. Jake Tomsik added two goals and two assists for four points, and Mike Fletcher added two goals and one helper for three points.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Quinnipiac jumped out to a quick 5-2 lead less than 10 minutes into the contest, as five different goal scorers helped the Bobcats build an early lead.
- Marist would respond, however, going on a 6-3 run of its own to even things heading into the break. The Red Foxes then outscored Quinnipiac 5-3 in the third quarter and didn't relinquish the lead from that point on.
- Total shots were 43-37 in favor of Marist.
- Both teams won 16 opportunities from the face-off x, and both programs caused six turnovers.
- Foster Cuomo and Mike Fletcher were named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team
- Foster Cuomo finished the 2019 season with 33 goals and 18 assists for 51 total points.
- With four more points in the contest, sophomore Jake Tomsik finished the season with a team-best 60 points.
- Mike Fletcher's senior season comes to an end with 35 goals and 14 assists for 49 points.
- Freshman Nick DiMuccio made 11 saves in front of the cage, his 14th game of 10+ stops this season.
- Demitri George went 16-for-28 on face-offs, and Will Abbott picked up a team-high six ground balls.
