Scafariello Leads Bobcats with Pair of RBIs, Poulin Sharp in No Decision
Quinnipiac scored a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 3-2 lead after Scafariello and Brian Moskey (Higganum, Connecticut) hit back-to-back sacrifice flies in the seventh inning to take a 3-2 lead but the Eagles answered for four runs over the next two innings.
Scafariello led the Bobcats with a pair of RBIs and a single while Evan Vulgamore (Bow, New Hampshire) doubled, walked and scored a pair of runs.
Tyler Poulin (Randolph, New Jersey) recorded the no-decision in the loss for the Bobcats after striking out five batters in six innings while allowing just two runs on four hits.

- Huscher sliced a first pitch single to right field with two outs in the top of the inning before scoring from first on Maves' double to left field
SEVENTH INNING
- The Bobcats took the lead in the seventh inning, starting with a lead-off walk for Dylan Lutz (Denver, Colo.) before he moved into scoring position on an Evan Vulgamore (Bow, New Hampshire) double down the left field line
- Scafariello and Moskey each lifted sacrifice flies to left field which scored Lutz and Vulgamore, respectively, to take the 3-2 lead at the end of the top of the seventh
NINTH INNING
- Andre Marrero (West Springfield, Massachusetts) led off the ninth with a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch.
- Marrero promptly stole third base before a Vulgamore walk put runners on the corners
- Scafariello singled to left field to score Marrero and moved Vulgamore up to second
- With two outs in the inning, Ostberg singled up the middle to score Vulgamore and Scafariello went first-to-third on the single
- The Bobcats have now scored 28 runs in the seventh inning or later in the first eight games of the season
- Scafariello brought home a pair of RBIs for the Bobcats in Friday afternoon's game for the 88th RBIs of his career
