Megan Szawlowski Records Season-High Four Goals and Six Points to Pace Offense
HAMDEN, Conn. – Junior Megan Szawlowski recorded her second Quinnipiac hat trick Saturday afternoon with a four-goal, six-point performance as the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team cruised to a 14-8 win over the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds.
Maddie Deegan, Jenna Henningsen, Allison Kuhn and Kayla Moreau all recorded two goals Saturday to help pace the offensive attack. Kuhn finished the game second on the team with four points while Deegan had three.

- Goalkeeper Sami Walters recorded eight saves in her second win of the season as she played all 60 minutes.
- The Bobcats got out to an early 6-1 lead less than half way through the first half. Quinnipiac went on a 5-0 run in a 3:06 span.
- Szawlowski's six-point performance is tied for the team-high this season after Allison Kuhn's six-point game in the season opener at Stetson. Szawlowski has now scored goals in four straight games to open her Quinnipiac career.
- Allison Kuhn added two goals and two assists for the Bobcats, scoring both of her goals in the first half. Kuhn leads the team with 13 goals and five assists for 18 total points.
- Maddie Deegan scored twice to go along with one assist. She now has four goals in 2019.
- Kayla Moreau doubled her goal total to four with a goal in each half.
- Jenna Henningsen scored her first two goals of the season for the Bobcats in the win.
- Quinnipiac outshot LIU Brooklyn 35-27, recording 24 total shots on goal. 35 total shots is a single-game high for the Bobcats so far in 2019.
- QU was 18-21 in clears, picking up 25 ground balls in the win.
- Draw controls were 13-11 in favor of the Blackbirds.
- The Bobcats scored a season-best seven free position goals.
- The Bobcats have a quick turnaround, traveling to Hofstra on Tuesday, Feb. 26 for a 3:00 p.m. contest on Long Island.
