Nash Records Singles Win, Bobcats Fall at No. 23 UVA

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Quinnipiac women's tennis opened up their spring portion of the 2018-19 season with a match against No. 23 ranked Virginia. The Bobcats fell to the Cavaliers by the final of 6-1.
Courtney Nash won in singles play for the Bobcats, defeating Erica Susi 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (7).

DEFENDING CHAMPS
- The Bobcats are coming off their fifth-straight MAAC Championship in 2017-18, posting a perfect 7-0 record in regular season conference action. Quinnipiac finished the 2018 MAAC Championship with two singles victories 15 seconds apart, lifting the program to a 4-1 win over Marist at the Mercer County Tennis Center on April 29, 2018.
- The Bobcats were tabbed as the preseason No. 1 team in the MAAC earlier this week by the conference coaches. They received five of seven first place votes, and 47 total points.
- Quinnipiac has won 48 straight MAAC matches since joining the conference in 2013-14, including 38 consecutive regular season victories.
- The Bobcats return to action on Saturday, February 2nd at Fordham. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
