HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac field hockey team's late push was not enough as the Bobcats fell to the Big Ten's Michigan State Spartans, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Stadium.

SCORING SUMMARY

(36:49 - QU 0, MSU 1): The Spartans struck first when Alisha Osinga scored early in the second half. Osinga inserted the corner before running to the near post and tipping home a shot from Isa Van der Weij at the top of the shooting circle.
(42:02 - QU 0, MSU 2): The Spartans struck on a penalty corner to push their lead to two goals in the second half when Amanda Robinson redirected another shot from Van der Weij from just inside the shooting circle.

The Bobcats had a season-high seven penalty corners in Sunday's game, up from six in their previous game at Columbia
Hannah Teicher (Bethesda, Maryland) recorded five saves, including four in the first half
