HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac junior Eamon Whelan (New Fairfield, Connecticut) scored his third and fourth goals of the season on Saturday night, but the Bobcats dropped their first road game of the year in a 4-2 loss at Saint Joseph's.

Whelan is the first Bobcat player to score at least one goal in each of the first three games of a season since Simon Hinde did so in 2013. It is also the first time since at least 2008 that the same Quinnipiac player has scored the team's first four goals of the season.
Whelan attempted a season-high five shots in the effort, placing all five on goal. Five shots on goal is a single-game career high for the sophomore.
