HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac men's lacrosse team kept battling back, but ended up falling one goal short as it dropped its final non-conference game to Holy Cross 14-13 on Saturday afternoon at Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium.

GAME NOTES
- Quinnipiac twice battled back from three-goal deficits to tie the score, knotting it up 7-7 after trailing 5-2 and using a 3-0 run to tie it 10-10 late in the third.
- Holy Cross scored four straight goals and Quinnipiac responded with the next three to pull within 14-13 with 3:13 to play.
- Senior midfielder Brian Feldman (four goals) started the run at the 7:14 mark and senior long-stick midfielder Adam Bellamy tallied one just 48 seconds later to pull the score within 14-12.
- After freshman midfielder Sam Witt hustled down a loose ball, freshman attack Jake Tomsik scored with 3;13 to go to pull the Bobcats within 14-13.
- Sophomore goalie Joe Zukauskas had a big save on a Holy Cross EMO in the final minute and the Bobcats cleared the ball and took their last timeout. Feldman had a good look from the outside, but Jonathan Tesoro made the save and the Crusaders were able to kill the clock.
- Senior Alex DiSalvo started a 3-0 third-period run with his first goal of the season to cut the Holy Cross lead to 10-8 at the 9:05 mark.
- Junior attack Foster Cuomo swept a ground ball into the goal at the 4:36 mark to make the score 10-9 and senior midfielder Ryan Corcoran scored with 1:36 left in the third to tie the score 10-10.
- Holy Cross scored the final two goals of the third quarter and the first two of the fourth to take its largest lead at 14-10 with 8:36 to go.
- Zukauskas finished with 16 saves for the Bobcats, who were outshot 43-31.
- The Bobcats did not have a turnover in the second half, after committing 10 in the opening half.
