STONY BROOK, N.Y. - The Quinnipiac baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader on the road at Stony Brook, falling in the opener 10-4 despite home runs from sophomore shortstop Dylan Lutz and senior first baseman Ben Gibson, and then losing the nightcap 5-1.

NOTES

Sophomore shortstop Dylan Lutz hit his first career home run in the opening game to get the Bobcats on the board.
Senior first baseman Ben Gibson added a two-run shot in the opener, while Lutz added an RBI single to cap off a 2-for-4, two-RBI effort.
Freshman reliever Colin Donnelly threw the final two innings for the Bobcats without allowing a hit.
Junior right fielder Liam Scafariello joined Lutz with two hits in the opener.
Sophomore left fielder Andre Marrero reached base in all three plate appearances in the seven-inning nightcap, recording a single and a pair of walks.
Senior Brandon Shileikis threw a complete game, striking out seven over six innings of work, while allowing three earned runs.

UPCOMING GAMES
The Bobcats will finish out their three-game series at Stony Brook tomorrow with a 12 p.m. contest, which will mark their 20th straight road game to start the season. The streak will continue this week as well, with road games at URI on Tuesday and Dartmouth on Wednesday.
