
Cross Country Set to Compete in New England Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The Quinnipiac men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the New England Championships on Saturday, Oct. 6. The women's varsity race with start at 11:45 a.m., followed by the men's varsity at 12:30 p.m.
Both programs competed in the Battle in Beantown last weekend on Sept. 21. The men's team took 23rd and the women's team took 21st overall.
Syracuse took first for the men's varsity 8k while Ole Miss finished first in the women's 5k. Cambell's Amon Kemboi placed first overall in the men's 8k with a time of 24:02.2. Abbey Wheeler of Providence finished first overall in the women's 5k with a time of 17:09.7.
Tommy Consalvo finished 104th overall for the men at the Battle of Beantown with a time of 25:46.8.
On the women's side, Kaitlin Bakas finished 100th overall with a time of 18:37.0.
