
QU Women's Tennis Collects Eight Wins at First Day of Army Invitational

WEST POINT, New York – The Quinnipiac women's tennis team started the Army of West Point Invitational strong Friday afternoon. The reigning MAAC Champion Bobcats tallied eight victories together on the first day of competition.

- Payton Bradley (Downingtown, Pennsylvania) took home a victory in the A Singles bracket to continue her strong freshman-year campaign for the Bobcats. Bradley won after a 6-1, 6-1 score.
- Stephanie Yanosov (Cherry Hill, New Jersey) and Amy Zammarieh (Trumbull, Connecticut) each scored victories in the first round of the B Singles bracket. Yanosov's victory was a a come-from-behind victory 0-6, 6-1, 10-7. Zammarieh's win was a hard-fought victory 6-2, 7-6(5).
- Scarlett Blydenburgh (Chatham, New Jersey) and Proyfon Lohaphaisan (Santa Clarita, California) scored their first victories of the invitational in the C Singles bracket. Blydenburgh rolled in her first round matchup 6-2, 6-0. Lohaphaisan came from behind to advance to the second round 2-6, 6-2, 10-5.
- Courtney Nash ( Andover, Massachusetts) and Alexandra Mircea (Glen Rock, New Jersey) moved onto the second of the D Singles Bracket with two impressive victories. Nash defeated Sa of Fordham 6-1, 6-0. Mircea Def. Friendman of Lehigh 6-4, 6-4.
- Lohaphaisan and Blydenburgh, who each won in the C Singles bracket, combined to move onto the second round of the B Doubles bracket before being defeated Seton Hall.
