QU Women's Tennis Finishes Second Day at Army Invitational

WEST POINT, New York – The Quinnipiac women's tennis team continued their strong weekend at the Army of West Point Invitational Saturday. The team collected 10 wins throughout the day as Proyfon Lohaphaisan (Santa Clarita, California) advanced to the semifinals of the C Singles bracket, which will be played on Sunday.

NOTES

Lohaphaisan has now collected four wins throughout the weekend for the Bobcats.
Payton Bradley (Downingtown, Pennsylvania) picked up her second win of the weekend in the A Singles bracket before losing a hard-fought match in the quarterfinals to NJIT.
Layla Rodriguez picked up two victories (8-3 in each win) Saturday to advance to the semifinals of the A Singles Consolation bracket.
Dominque Vasile (Bingham Farms, Michigan) picked up a win in the B Singles Consolation bracket and will play in the semifinals tomorrow.
Courtney Nash (Andover, Massachusetts) and Alexandra Mircea (Glen Rock, New Jersey) each picked up victories in the D Singles bracket today, but fell in the quarterfinals in tough matches.
Stephanie Yanosov (Cherry Hill, New Jersey) and Vasile teamed up in the A Doubles Consolation bracket to pick up a 6-3 victory. The duo will play in the semifinals tomorrow.
Mircea and Amy Zammarieh (Trumbull, Connecticut) scooped a 6-1 victory in the B Doubles Consolation bracket before falling in the quarterfinals.
