HOME, SWEET HOME
The Quinnipiac men's tennis team is back in action on Friday, April 14, as the Bobcats welcome Bryant to Hamden for a duel at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts at 2:30 p.m.
LAST TIME VS. BRYANT
The last time the Bobcats took on the Bulldogs was on March 21, 2015, where Quinnipiac fell in a 4-3 thriller at the North Haven Health and Racquet Club. Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York) picked up two wins in the contest and Kei Ezaka (Ojai, California) picked up a doubles win as well.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Bryant owns a 8-12 record so far this season and is undefeated in NEC play so far this season. Bryant has also won three of its last four duels.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time Quinnipiac took the court, the Bobcats celebrated Senior Day with a 7-0 sweep over MAAC rival Siena on Sunday afternoon at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts.
It was the fourth time this season where the Bobcats swept a conference opponent and the second time at home.
The team celebrated the career of senior Kei Ezaka (Ojai, California), who added two more wins to his program-record of career wins.
Patrick Cachapero (Loma Linda, California), Axel Stern (Tustin, California), Austin Yannone (Severna Park, Maryland), Jackson Koke (Calgary, Alberta) and Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York) all earned two wins on the day.
AND THE NEW...
Ezaka set the program-record for career wins after his doubles victory with partner Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York) against Marist. Ezaka currently has 140 career wins, which is three more than previous record-holder John Hughes 10'. Ezaka has 69 singles wins, which is second all-time and 71 doubles wins, which is third all-time in program history.
CLOSING IN ON 100
Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) is closin in on 100 career wins. As it stands, Rozenstein has 98 career wins, with 58 singles wins and 40 doubles wins.
MAAC MANIA
In the Bobcats' five MAAC dual matches, they have gone 40-5 in competition. The team has posted a 26-4 record in singles play against MAAC opponents and 14-1 in doubles competition.
ALL GOOD FROM SPOT ONE
The Bobcats have had major success from the No. 1 spot in doubles matches, going 12-4 in those matches.
JOIN THE 10 CLUB
Five Bobcats have already reached at least 10 singles wins on the season as Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) and Ezaka leads the team with 14 wins. Stern has 12 wins, Zaretsky has 11 and Yannone has 10 on the season.
THREE IS THE MAGIC NUMBER
No matter if it is a singles or doubles match, in matches where he is in the No. 3 draw, Stern is undefeated (3-0).
CHEMISTRY IS EVERYTHING
Of the 16 different doubles' duos that have played together, 11 of them have a winning record.
HEATING UP
The doubles team of Rozenstein and Zaretsky own a 6-2 record together and have won five of their last six matches.
FEARSOME FRESHMEN
The duo of Stern and Yannone leads the team with 13 wins as a duo.

Following the match against Bryant, the Quinnipiac men's tennis team will be back in action on Thursday, April 20, as it welcomes Fairfield to Hamden for a match beginning at 3 p.m. at the QU Outdoor Tennis Courts.
