The Bobcats' dominant senior trio of Sitilia Rencheli (Sarasota, Florida), Rachel Horton (Stamford, Connecticut) and Sydney Young (Austin, Texas) all earned two wins on the afternoon.
MAAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Quinnipiac women's tennis senior Sitilia Rencheli (Sarasota, Florida) was named the MAAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Wednesday, March 15. It was the second week in a row that a Quinnipiac women's tennis player won the award as Sydney Young (Austin, Texas) was honored the previous week. Rencheli's player of the week honors are the second of her career, and she is the third Quinnipiac women's tennis player to be honored with a weekly award this season, as Rachel Horton (Stamford, Connecticut) won the award earlier this season as well.
Rencheli went 2-0 over the weekend in Quinnipiac's contest against Hofstra, where the Bobcats won, 5-2. In the No. 2 match in doubles play, Rencheli teamed up with Kelsi Oliphant (Calgary, Alberta) to defeat Sarah Herndon and Disha Yellayi, 6-1, clinching the doubles point for Quinnipiac. Rencheli later took to the court for the No. 1 singles match and cruised past D'Asha Davis in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0.
