
Luke Roser Wins 100th Career Match as QU Men's Tennis Knocks Off Boston University, 6-1

NORTH HAVEN, Connecticut – Quinnipiac men's tennis senior Luke Roser (Bernardsville, New Jersey) won two matches Saturday afternoon to record his 100th career victory in a 6-1 victory against the Boston University Terriers at the North Haven Health and Racquet Club.
Roser is the sixth Bobcat in program history to reach the 100 career win mark as he continues his career season, picking up his 26th victory of the season.
With the win, the Bobcats improve to 6-3 on the season while the Terriers fall to 4-4 on the season with the loss, including a 1-3 record on the road.
Roser, Jonas Kuwert (Jesteberg, Germany), Willem van Biezen and (Warmond, the Netherlands) each picked up two wins on the day to lead the Bobcats on the evening. Ryoma Haraguchi (New York, New York), Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) and Kyle Alper (Dix Hills, New York) each won single matches for the Bobcats.
In singles play, the Bobcats secured the point early in the match to take an early 1-0 lead. Kuwert and van Biezen combined at No. 1 doubles to take the victory over Jake De Vries and Jay Leelavanich, 6-2. Roser picked up his 99th career victory in a win with Haraguchi against Stefan Lemire and Miguel Cepeda, 6-3. Boston University picked up one victory late in the doubles round as Mario Sandoval and Satyajit Simhadri defeated Kei Ezaka (Ojai, California) and Alper, 7-6 (6).
Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) picked up the first win at singles for the Bobcats with a straight set win against Lemire, 6-0, 6-2. Shortly after, van Biezen took the No. 4 singles match against Sandoval with a 6-3, 6-1 victory before Kuwert clinched the point for the Bobcats with a 6-2, 6-4 win. After Leelavanich defeated Ezaka 4-6, 6-2, 10-4; the Bobcats took the final two matches to securely win the match. Roser nailed down his 100th career victory at No. 6 singles as he defeated De Vries, 6-3, 3-6, 10-5. Alper closed out the match shortly after with the win over Simhardi, 5-7, 6-3, 10-7.
The Quinnipiac men's tennis team is off until March 14 when they face the Northern Illinois Huskies in Casselberry, Florida as part of their spring break trip to Florida where they will play five matches in three days.
