HANOVER, N.H. – Quinnipiac women's golf sophomore Nicole Scola (Westerly, Rhode Island) finished tied for 18th at 156 (80-76) as the Bobcats finished 12th out of 13 participating teams at the Dartmouth Invitational at the Hanover Country Club.
All five Quinnipiac golfers saw improvements on their first-day scores, most notably junior Alexa Gentile (Avon, Connecticut) who turned in a career-best 80 on the second day to finish with a career-best 36-hole total at 165. Gentile had twice before turned in a 174. Scola turned in the only sub-80 score of the tournament for the Bobcats after trimming four strokes off a first-round 80 to card a 76 on the final day.
"I'm much happier with today's performance," Head coach John O'Connor said. "The weather conditions improved, which was great. It started in the 40's, so we got off to a slow start. More importantaly, everyone improved and started playing golf the way they could play. Alexa Gentile's 80 today is the low round of her career. She missed a putt on the last hole that would have broke 80. I'm very impressed and happy for her."

Taylor Lambrou (Baldwin, New York) shot an 88 on Sunday for a two-day 178.
