- A four-year varsity starter for a high school that holds one of the strongest soccer reputations & traditions within Florida as National, State, & Regional Champions
- Led the Vipers in assists his last three years and goals scored in his last two years
- He set new school records in both goals (23) and assists (11) in his senior season
- Named the team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2013
- He also played for SAA Real Madrid-Miami
- The team won the Florida State Cup with Diaz leading the way with six goals
- Helped the team to a fourth place finish in the National League; Diaz had seven goals and seven assists in the tournament run
- Finished with four goals and five assists to lead the team to a USYSA Southern Regional Championship
- The team was ranked first in the state of Florida; second in the region; and third nationally
- He was the second leading scorer and led the team in assists (32)
- Selected to play in the 2013 All-Star game between South Florida and North Florida – scoring one goal and tallying an assist
- Named the '2013 Best Player of the Club' while also receiving the Gold Cup from Radio Caracol-Miami.
