HAMDEN, Conn. – The No. 7 Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team punched its ticket to the ECAC Hockey Championships with a hard-fought 5-4 victory over Brown on Sunday afternoon.
Emerson Jarvis opened the scoring just 32 seconds into the game with her 15th goal of the season.
Zoe Uens doubled the lead with a snipe from the blue line, recording her ninth of the year.
Brown responded minutes later on a power-play goal from Monique Lyons to cut the deficit in half.
Kahlen Lamarche added to the Bobcats' momentum with a short-handed goal midway through the second period.
The Bears answered quickly on a goal from Sam Broz but Lamarche struck again 40 seconds later with a short-handed goal to restore the two-goal advantage.
In the third period, Lamarche completed her fourth hat trick of the season to extend the lead to 5-2.
Brown mounted a late push with two goals in a three-minute span – one on the power play and another with the extra attacker – but could not make the comeback.
Felicia Frank made 37 saves to earn her 26th win of the season.
The last time Quinnipiac advanced to the ECAC semifinals was during the 2022-23 campaign, when Sadie Peart scored an overtime winner against St. Lawrence in the quarterfinal round at M&T Bank Arena.
