Maine Hands QU First Loss of Season in Overtime

ORONO, Maine — The Quinnipiac field hockey team was handed their first loss of the season by Maine, losing 2-1 in overtime on Friday afternoon.
QU and the Black Bears traded chances in the first quarter but neither team could score. Lucia Donati broke the scoreless tie by dribbling into the circle and ripping a shot past the Maine keeper.
Just over 90 seconds later, Maine came back to even it at one. Neither team would score in the second half and Maine would win it just over three minutes into overtime.
