HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac men's basketball program has been selected as the preseason favorite and forward Amarri Monroe has been tabbed 2025 MAAC Preseason Player of the Year, as revealed by the conference office on Sept. 30, 2025.
The Bobcats – who have won back-to-back regular season championships – received the most votes in the 2025 MAAC Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll. Marist, Fairfield, Iona and Saint Peter's round out the top five in the preseason poll behind QU.
Quinnipiac won its second consecutive MAAC regular season title this past season (2024-25). The Bobcats have posted a 15-5 mark in regular season league action over each of the past two seasons under Head Coach Tom Pecora.
