
Bobcats Win 3rd Straight Time at Stony Brook Season Opener

STONY BROOK, N.Y. — The Quinnipiac women's cross country program opened its season in dominant fashion on Saturday morning, finishing first overall at the Stony Brook Season Opener with two runners placing inside the top three.
Rachel St. Germain and Sierra Gray led the Bobcats, clocking times of 13:53.60 and 13:56.70 to finish first and second, respectively.
The Bobcats have now won the Stony Brook opening event in each of the last three seasons.

- St. Germain and Gray were the only two runners in the entire field to finish in less than 14:00.00. Both St. Germain and Gray posted a better finish than last year's season-opening Stony Brook meet.
- Graduate student Weronika Lewna followed for the Bobcats with a 14:33 mark, earning sixth place.
- Junior Zoe Merryman placed ninth with a time of 14:43, while sophomore Madeleine O'Neill finished close behind in 10th at 14:44.
- Natalie Crocker (14:46.00), Ashley Carillo (15:03.30), and Alyssa Turns (15:08.40) all made their debut for the Bobcats.
- The Bobcats return to action at the Jasper XC Fall Invite on Saturday, Sept. 13
