Bobcats Remain in First Place Heading Into Final Round

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL. The Quinnipiac women's golf team wrapped up the second round of the 2025 MAAC Championships on Friday afternoon. They will head into the final round in first place among eight teams.
First-year Sophia Fujita remains in first place after she shot a 74 (+2) in the second round to give her a two-round total of 142 (-2). Fujita is the only golfer in the field who is currently shooting under par and has a five-stroke lead for first place.
Fuge Zhang had the best score in round two for the Bobcats as she shot a 71 (-1). Zhang has a two-round score of 147 (+3) and is currently tied for second place in the field.
Vaidehi Shah moved up seven spots on day two as she recorded a score of 72 (E) in the second round. Shah will head into the final day of competition in a tie for fourth place.
Samantha Galantini tied for 16th, moving up one spot on the second day of competition. Galantini birdied three times on the back nine as she finished with a score of 76 (+4).
Marisa Flores closed out the Bobcats grouping as she finished the second round in a tie for 20th place with a two-round score of 155 (+11).
The Bobcats will return to the course on Saturday, April 19th, as they wrap up play at the 2025 MAAC Championships at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course.
