No. 2 Bobcats Start Southern Trip with Win at No. 13 Saint Leo

SAINT LEO, Fla. — After a tight first half of the meet, the No. 2 Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling program was able to pull away from No. 13 Saint Leo in the first leg of its road trip down south, earning a 12.635 point victory over the host Lions to continue its unbeaten start to the season.
The teams were separated by 0.45 points heading into the halftime break, but a 1.5-point win in the toss and a 4.325-point difference in tumbling allowed the Bobcats to create separation heading into the team event.

HIGHLIGHTS
It was a tight start to the meet, as the Bobcats found themselves down 0.25 after compulsory, despite a 9.9 in the toss heat of the event.
Quinnipiac would take the lead for good in the acro event, with Acro 5 leading the way, scoring a 9.70.
Two individual performances shined to help the Bobcats pull away, as Kathryn Coker recorded a 9.75 in her open toss heat and Kat Carter scored 9.8 in the aerial pass.
