2025 MAAC Masters Tournament Begins Friday

Event Held Friday - Sunday at Quinnipiac University & Fairfield University
HAMDEN, Conn. – The 2025 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Masters Tournament is set to be held Friday, October 3, through Sunday, October 5, at both Quinnipiac University and Fairfield University.
This will be the second year the Masters is hosted by Quinnipiac, while Fairfield will be a first time host of the tournament. All matches will begin at 9:00 a.m. each day.
Friday's matches will be split between Quinnipiac and Fairfield, with the women's bracket competing at Quinnipiac and the men's bracket competing at Fairfield. All matches on Saturday and Sunday will be played at Quinnipiac only.
The singles tournament format will be a best of three sets, with a 10 point breaker utilized in the third set. The top eight seeds were determined and ordered by the best verified World Tennis Number, while the remaining seeds were drawn randomly. Lastly, the top six seeds in the field will receive a first round bye.
The top eight seeds in the women's singles bracket include No. 1 Willow Renton (Quinnipiac), No. 2 Caitlin Flower (Quinnipiac), No. 3 Anna Neyestani (Fairfield), No. 4 Isabel Garcia Torra (Niagara), No. 5 Lilly Black (Quinnipiac), No. 6 Ola Irla Bartyzel (Sacred Heart), No. 7 Cloe Sorde Clements (Marist), and No. 8 Hana Hofmanova (Sacred Heart).
The men's singles top eight in the field feature No. 1 Jose Catala Ortiz (Marist), No. 2 Carlos Braun-Simo (Quinnipiac), No. 3 Matteus Froberg Dahlin (Rider), No. 4 Sviatoslav Koliadynskyi (Siena), No. 5 Elias Hoxha (Quinnipiac), No. 6 Alexi Roy (Mount St. Mary's), No. 7 Finn Burridge (Quinnipiac), and No. 8 Calum Jessett (Fairfield).
The doubles tournament format will be a one set of six. The top four doubles team were determined and ordered by the best verified World Tennis Number of the combined pair, while the remaining seeds were drawn randomly. There will be one play-in match per gender before first round action begins.
Women's top four doubles teams will be No. 1 Renton/ Flower (Quinnipiac), No. 2 Black/Bella Baker (Quinnipiac), No. 3 Garcia Torra/Maria Melo (Niagara), and No. 4 Neyestani/Maria Gell (Fairfield).
Men's top four doubles flights will be No. 1 Froberg Dahlin/ Axel Engstrom (Rider), No. 2 Catala Ortiz/ Alejandro Abella (Marist), No. 3 Kostas Kollias/Luca Benaibbouche (Fairfield), and No. 4 Cole Thurgur/Roger Pelaez Martinez (Rider).
The 2025 MAAC Masters Tournament will determine the men's and women's tennis singles and doubles representatives at the 2025 ITA Conference Masters Championship. The winning individuals and pairs will earn an automatic bid to the 2025 ITA Conference Masters Championship, which will take place at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California, from November 6-9.
Additionally, four singles players will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists), and three doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the Conference Masters (champion, finalist, third place). Each NCAA AQ-eligible, Division I conference will designate one singles player and one doubles team from each gender to participate in the event.
The 2025 MAAC Masters Tournament is a singles and doubles single-elimination tournament per gender, that will be held on Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Quinnipiac Athletic & Recreation Center in Hamden, Connecticut and at Walsh Athletic Center Tennis Courts in Fairfield, Connecticut. Quinnipiac University will serve as the host of the tournament for the second straight year and Fairfield University for the first.
