QU Ends Navy Fall Invitational in 5th Place of 15

ANNAPOLIS, M.D. – The Quinnipiac women's golf team rounded out the Navy Fall Invitational with a fifth-place finish on Sunday afternoon in Annapolis.

Sophia Fujita was the highest finisher of the Quinnipiac grouping as she shot a 75 (+3) for a two-day total of 151 (+7) to tie for 13^th place.

Sandhya Vaikuntam, who competed as an individual, finished in a tie for 13^th place after a two-day total of 151 (+7).

Marisa Flores, Natalie Spiska, and Fuge Zhang finished in a tie for 26^th place after shooting a two-round total of 156 (+12).

First-year Vaidehi Shah jumped up 16 spots on the final day as she finished in a tie for 32^nd place. Shah shot a 74 (+2) on the final day to give her a two-round total of 157 (+13).

The Bobcats will be back in action on Monday, October 14^th as they host day one of the Quinnipiac Invitational at the Farms Country Club.

SCORES AND NOTES

Quinnipiac finished in fifth place out of 15 teams with a team total of 615 (+39).
Vaidehi Shah had the best second round out of the Quinnipiac grouping as she shot a 72.
Shah led the team with 13 birdies on the final day of the Invitational.
Vaikuntam parred nine holes and birdied three.
Four of the five members of the grouping birdied on two holes each.
Each member of Quinnipiac's grouping shot par on holes one and nine.
Quinnipiac's grouping recorded a total of 108 pars and 15 birdies.
