Bobcats Defeat UAlbany in Hamden

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac Women's Soccer earned their first victory of the season as they defeated the UAlbany Great Danes 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Bobcats got on the board in the 28th minute as Courtney Chocho tallied her first goal of the season on a cross from Caroline Matyczyk.
Morgan Cupo doubled the Bobcats lead in the second half as she put home the rebound to make it a 2-0 lead.
In the 82nd minute, Milena Branco sent a shot from outside the box that beat the UAlbany keeper to the far post to give the Bobcats their third goal of the game.
Sofia Lospinoso made two saves in the effort as she recorded her first clean sheet of the season and the 22nd of her career, which ranks first in program history.

- QU earned 15 corners, the most in a single game since the 2022 season when they did so twice (vs Marist, Oct. 5th and vs Rider, Oct. 12th).
