Women's Soccer Celebrates Senior Day With 2-1 Win Over Iona

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day with a 2-1 victory over the Iona Gaels on Saturday afternoon in Hamden.
With the win, the Bobcats improve to 12-3-1 overall and 10-1 in the MAAC as they still sit in the top spot in the conference standings.

The Gaels got on the board first, but the Bobcats answered back as graduate student Victoria Foster scored the first goal to tie the game 1-1 in the 35th minute. Rachel Roman and Madison Alves were credited with assists on the play.
First year, Klara Bengtsson scored the game-winning goal for the Bobcats in the 73rd minute, with another assist from Rachel Roman.

- Victoria Foster scored the first goal of the game, her second of the season.
- Klara Bengtsson recorded her third collegiate goal with her game-winning goal in thee 73rd minute.
- Rachel Roman assisted on both goals, recording her sixth and seventh assists of the season.
- Madison Alves also recorded an assist, giving her four on the season.
- The Bobcats registered 21 shots, with 11 being on goal. Aisling Spillane recorded seven of those 21 shots.
- Quinnipiac recorded eight corners, while Iona had three.
