
Bobcats Top Gannon, Advance to NCATA Semifinals

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – No. 4 Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling defeated No. 5 Gannon in a thriller on Thursday night in West Liberty, Virginia, as the Bobcats won by the final score of 273.845 – 270.505.
The Bobcats won the tumbling event 56.875 – 55.825 to take a small lead headed to the team event, then finished off the victory with a 93.370 score in the team event.
With the win, Quinnipiac will now move on to the NCATA Semifinals – which will take place on Friday, April 28 vs. top-seeded Baylor (7:00 PM ET on ESPN+)

NOTES
- The Bobcats recorded a final score of 273.825, the second-highest score of any of the eight teams that competed in the quarterfinal round.
- Quinnipiac has now advanced to the championship round of the NCATA postseason tournament four times (2013, 2018, 2022, 2023) under Head Coach Mary Ann Powers.
- The Bobcats will now get ready for the NCATA Semifinals – which is set for Friday, April 28 at 7:00 PM on ESPN+. No. 4 Quinnipiac will take on No. 1 Baylor for a trip to the title match.
- The entire 2023 NCATA National Championships will be hosted by West Liberty University at the Academic, Sports and Recreation Complex (ASRC). The event is set for April 27-29 with team and individual national championship crowned over the three days.
