Bobcats Celebrate Senior Class in Pregame Ceremony

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's rugby won its third straight game on Saturday afternoon, defeating AIC by the final score of 80-0 on Senior Day in Hamden.

With the win the Bobcats move to 4-2 overall. QU posted a season-best 80 points in the victory.

Senior Kat Storey led the way for the Bobcats, finding the try zone three times in the win. Anna Van Dyk also surpassed 100 career tackles.

QU honored its senior class prior to the start of the matchup. The Bobcats senior class includes: Gracie Cartwright, Anna Van Dyk, Haley Crow, Kat Storey, Grace Dagenais, Alexis Haskins, Abbey Terpstra, Taylor Lea, Madison Lea, Hannah Pfersch.

NOTES

Kat Storey led the way offensively for the Bobcats, finding the try zone three times in the win.
Anna Van Dyk surpassed 100 career tackles on Senior Day.
Fódhla Ní Bhraonáin impressed, going a perfect 9-for-9 on conversion attempts. She also gave the Bobcats three points early in the first half on a penalty kick.
First-year Makenna Tuman registered a pair of scores in the second half.
Lucy Lamborn, Hannah Pfersch, Riva van der Valk, Anna Van Dyk, Allisa Reach and Haley Crow all recorded a try, as well.
Abbey Terpstra and Gillian Mason each chipped in with a successful conversion attempt. QU ended the day 11-for-11 on conversion chances.
Quinnipiac has now won six consecutive matchups vs. AIC dating back to 2015.
