LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - The Quinnipiac outdoor track & field took third place as a team at the 2022 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday, May 8.
The Monmouth Hawks won the 2022 MAAC Championships with 250 team points. Rider finished in second place with 202.50 points, and Quinnipiac took third overall with 163 points.
Mikah Maples recorded a career-best mark and new school record in the discus throw (47.29), finishing second overall. Aisha Gay tallied two first-place finishes in the 400m and 200m dashes.
Kalli'ana Botelho also completed her stellar weekend with a first-place finish in the 100m dash, a second-place finish in the 100m hurdles and a fourth-place finish in the high jump.

Quinnipiac will compete at the New England Championships next weekend at Bryant.

- Emily Young took third place in the 1500m final with a time of 4:39.65. Amanda Carlson finished in 10th place with a time of 4:51.20.
- In the 100m hurdles final, Symone Foster won with a time of 14.12. Kalli'ana Botelho was not far behind in second place with a time of 14.18, which is a career-best time.
- Aisha Gay won 400m final with a time of 55.16. Rylie Smith finished in seventh place with a time of 59.12, which is a season-best time.
- Botelho took first place in the 100m final with a time of 12.05. Hayden Robinson placed fifth with a time of 12.35, which is a career-best time.
- Asia Mercier placed fifth in the 800m final with a career-best time of 2:15.26.
- Camille Blain took sixth in the 400m hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:05.85.
- Gay won her second individual event of the day with a time of 24.67 in the 200m final. Robinson finished in second place with a time of 24.96, and Foster took eighth place with a time of 26.11.
- Liv DiStefano placed fourth in the 5000m with a time of 17:06.71. Alessandra Zaffina finished in 13th place (18:11.06), and Amanda Carlson tallied a time of 18:24.72 in 15th place. Grace. Michaud took 17th place with a time of 18:34.79. Lydia Keys finished in 22nd place (18:58.98), and Kate Gihorski tallied a time of 19:03.45 in 23rd place. Samantha Leal finished in 27th with a time of 19:50.56.
- The 4x800m relay team of Heather Feuchtenberger, Asia Mercier, Brooke Hagen and Emily Young finished in second place with a time of 9:12.24.
- In the 4x100m relay, the team of Symone Foster, Kalli'ana Botelho, Britney Del Mundo and Aisha Gay took second place overall with a time of 47.90.
- The team of Alyssa Romagnoli, Rylie Smith, Camille Blain and Aisha Gay finished in third place with a time of 3:59.75 in the 4x400m.
- In the discus final, Mikah Maples recorded a career-best and new school record mark of 47.29 and took second place in the finals.
- Britney Del Mundo led the team in the triple jump with a fourth-place finish, tallying a 11.68m mark, which is a new personal best. Camille Sweet took sixth place with a 10.99m mark, which is also a new personal best. Grace Davis finished in eighth place (10.74m). Zekiah Lewis finished in 11th with a 10.30m mark, and Maples finished in 12th place with a 10.21m mark.
- Maples also finished fourth in the shot put with a 13.50m throw.
- Botelho placed fourth in the high jump with a 1.57m jump. Davis took eighth place with a 1.47m mark.
Quinnipiac will compete at the New England Championships next weekend at Bryant.
