QU Outlasts Siena in MAAC Semifinals

WEST WINDSOR, NJ – No. 3 Quinnipiac men's tennis defeated No. 2 Siena, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon in the semifinal round of the 2022 MAAC Men's Tennis Championship (presented by Visit NJ).
Javier Casasolas Monllor won the third-set tiebreaker from the No. 2 singles position to clinch the victory for the Bobcats. QU took the doubles point, then won at #2, #4 and #6 singles.
With the win, Quinnipiac men's tennis advances to the MAAC Tournament title match for the third time in the last eight years. The Bobcats also made it to the MAAC finals in 2014-15 and 2018-19.
Quinnipiac will now face No. 1 Monmouth in the title match on Sunday, April 24 at 2:00 PM from Mercer County Tennis Center.

- Alester Magalit defeated Davila in three sets from the No. 4 spot. Magalit won each of the last two sets (both 6-4) for the comeback victory.
- Donovan Brown followed up a 4-1 MAAC regular season with another victory at No. 6 singles. He defeated Trembley (6-1, 6-3) to pick up the point for QU.
- #3 Quinnipiac will face #1 Monmouth tomorrow (April 24) in the MAAC Tournament finals at 2:00 PM in West Windsor, New Jersey.
