Big Green come out on top with a 2-0 win over Bobcats

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's soccer team wrapped up non-conference play in a 2-0 loss against the Dartmouth Big Green. The Bobcats move to 4-3 on the season and the Big Green improve to 5-1. Quinnipiac will begin MAAC play against Canisius on Saturday, Sept. 21.

SCORING SUMMARY

Second Half

(55' - Quinnipiac 0, Dartmouth 1): The Big Green drew a foul approximately 20 yards over the midfield into Quinnipiac's half. Dartmouth hit the set piece into the box and Quinnipiac's Kylie Lance headed it. The second ball landed backwards to Dartmouth's Zoe Boocock, who tapped it across the box to Izzy Glennon to hit it past Olivia Myszewski.
(73' - Quinnipiac 0, Dartmouth 2): After a clearance by the Quinnipiac defense, Dartmouth's Allie Winstanley took the ball herself into the box and found the top left corner past Myszewski.

NOTES

Senior Olivia Myszewski recorded four saves in the net.
The Bobcats tallied seven shots and the Big Green had 10.
The Big Green controlled 53% of the possession, while Quinnipiac controlled 47%.
Sophomore Selena Salas and senior Ally Grunstein tallied two shots each.

The Bobcats begin MAAC play in Buffalo, N.Y., against the Canisius Golden Griffs. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 21.
