Daniellou Nets Second Goal of 2019 in Tie

ALBANY, N.Y. – Romain Daniellou netted his second goal of the 2019 season on Sunday at Casey Stadium, as Quinnipiac men's soccer played to a 1-1 tie vs. Albany.

With the tie, the Bobcats are now 1-2-2 so far in 2019. Daniellou's goal is the third of his career, while sophomore Jordon Bennett earned his third assist of the season on the score.

SCORING SUMMARY

(8' – Quinnipiac 1, Albany 0): Romain Daniellou scored right away for the Bobcats – his second goal of the young season. Daniellou collected a pass from Jordon Bennett, then beat the keeper by blasting it into the lower right corner of the net with his right foot to make it 1-0.
(9' – Quinnipiac 1, Albany 1): Hugo Guerra tied the game just 59 seconds later for Albany, scoring with an assist from Kaio DaSilva.

NOTES

Total shots were 12-11 in favor of Albany, with the Bobcats attempting eight of their 11 shots in the second half or overtime.
Junior goalkeeper Jared Mazzola made seven more saves, as he's now allowed just six goals in five games in 2019.
Freshman Tomas Svecula recorded a team-best three shots in the draw.
