Bobcats Pick Up 267.285-261.160 Win Over Falcons to Advance to Semifinals

WACO, Texas – The No. 4 Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team pulled away after a narrow halftime victory Thursday evening to advance to the NCATA Semifinals with a 267.285-261.160 victory over the No. 5 Fairmont State Falcons at the Ferrell Center.
Quinnipiac, which led by just 0.175 points at halftime despite falling in two of the first three events, picked up the pace after halftime to win all three events in the second half and come away with the six-plus point victory.
The win was the Bobcats fifth straight, the second longest winning streak in program history after winning six straight in the 2017 season to close out the regular season and head into the national tournament.
Chelsea Werner (Shoreham, New York) recorded the Bobcats' lone heat-high on the day as she bested her previous best score with a 9.650 in the aerial pass of the tumbling event while Melanie Mancini (Waterbury, Connecticut) and Cassidy Osher (Old Bridge, New Jersey) nearly recorded a season-high with their 9.375 in the duo tumbling pass.
