ERIE, Pennsylvania — The No. 3-seeded Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling team defeated the No. 6 Fairmont Fighting Falcons 269.875-263.405 on Thursday to advance to the NCATA Semifinals for the third straight year and the fifth time in program history.

NOTES:

The Bobcats struck for 11 heat victories on the day and five event victories.
Jenna Adams, Allie Williams and Nicole Chamberlain led the way for Quinnipiac.
Adams had four heat victories for Quinnipiac, including heat victories in the Acro and Pyramid Events.
Chamberlain scored three victories, including two victories in the Pyramid Event, where the Bobcats won 28.725-28.29.
Williams struck for four wins, including heat victories in four different events.

EVENTS
Compulsory
Quinnipiac jumped out to an early lead in the Compulsory Event, led by a 9.95 score in the Toss Heat led by Alyssa O'Connor, Samantha Gormley, Jenna Adams, Allie Williams and Nicole Chamberlain to push the Bobcats ahead 37.725-37.275 after the opening event.

Acro
Quinnipiac extended its lead in the Acro Event, winning a second straight event, 28.775-27.375. The Bobcats were led by one heat victory which was a 9.8 seven-element Heat performed by Melanie Mancini, Jenna Adams, Camren Diaz and Allie Williams. After the two events, Quinnipiac led 66.500-64.650.

Pyramid
Quinnipiac picked up its third straight event win of the afternoon with a 28.725-28.29 victory in the Pyramid Event. The Bobcats scored one heat victory with a 9.775 in the open heat of the Pyramid event, led by Abby Ziser, Jenna Adams, Brinkley Welty, Camren Diaz and Allie Williams. The Bobcats held a commanding 95.225-92.9 lead heading into halftime.

Toss
The Bobcats continued their strong afternoon, scoring a victory in the Toss Event 27.0-27.75. The Bobcats struck for two heat victories in the two opening heats of the event. Heat 1 was led by Carly Duval, Cassidy Osher, Megan Hamel, Stephanie Van Albert and Nicole Chamberlain. The Bobcats continued their impressive event with a victory in Heat 2, led by Alyssa O'Connor, Samantha Gormley, Jenna Adams, Allie Williams and Nicole Chamberlain, who increased Quinnipiac's lead to 122.975-119.9 lead after four events.

Tumbling
Quinnipiac scored another event victory, toppling Fairmont State 51.925-56.20. The Bobcats picked up six heat victories, sweeping the Tumbling Event on their way to a 179.175-171.825 running total heading into the Team Event.

Team
Quinnipiac fell in the Team Event 91.580-90.70.

Quinnipiac will await the results between Azusa Pacific and Hawaii Pacific, who face off today. The winner will face the Bobcats on Friday at 5 p.m. in NCATA Semifinals.
