Kiernan Leads Men's Cross Country at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The men's cross country team finished in 16th place out of 20 teams at the Princeton Invitational. Michael Kiernan finished first for the Bobcats by crushing his personal record time in the 8k (24:38.7) and took 18thoverall.
"Michael's performance is really great for our team," head coach Josh Glaab said. "We hope our guys use his strong performance to keep pushing the boundaries and getting better with each meet this season."
The Bobcats notched 411 team points. The host team, Princton, took first place with 37 points with Villanova and Temple taking second and third.
Tommy Consalvo took 81st overall with a time of 25.27.6. Ben Lanza finished in 127th with a time of 25:58.5 and Jeffrey Venter was close behind in 132nd with a time of 26:02.0. Ryan Ansel took 139th and finished with a time of 26:05.8.
Cameron Starr finished in 146th (26:13.6) and Matthew Allen finished right behind in 147th (26:13.7). Jack Hilton placed 154th with a time of 26:26.0. Joe Larazzo finished in 190th place with a time of 27:13.1. Matthew Burke took 195th with a time of 27:19.3. Jacob St. Onge finished in 208th place with a time of 27:56.6 and John McMahon took 218th with a time of 29:26.8.

The Bobcats will travel to New Britain, Conn., to compete in the CCSU Mini Meet on Oct. 19.
