Quinnipiac is coming off back-to-back wins last week as the Bobcats opened their ECAC slate at 2-0 with wins against Alderson Broaddus and King Univ.
• Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling shook-off a first-half deficit to come-from-behind and defeat Alderson Broaddus, 280.620 – 277.010, on Thursday, Mar. 16. After trailing at halftime, Quinnipiac dominated the action coming out of the break as they took both the Toss Event (28.70-28.40) and the Tumbling event (55.750-52.650) while winning eight of the nine heats across the two events. The Tumbling event featured season-high scores in the 6 Element Pass (9.83) and the Open Pass (9.88). he difference in the meet came in the Team event that Quinnipiac won, 101.27-99.66. Through its first two meets, Quinnipiac had struggled in the Team event, averaging 93.29, through two competitions. The Bobcats' 101.27 was a season-best while the start value differential (7.10) was its lowest of the season.
• Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling won its second-straight meet with a 277.370-268.195 victory against King University in Bristol, Tennessee.
• For the first time this season, Quinnipiac – ranked No. 3 nationally in the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association Preseason Poll – swept all five events and the team event.

Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling junior Abby Ziser (Pompton Plains, New Jersey) led Quinnipiac to back-to-back wins against Alderson Broaddus and King University as the Bobcats improved to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in ECAC A&T.
• The junior flyer was 6-5 for the week in a pair of victories at Alderson Broaddus and King University. Against AB, Ziser helped Quinnipiac to its first victory of the season after competing in the Compulsory Event, Acro Heat (9.35); the Acro Event 7 Element Heat (9.60); Pyramid Even, Heats 2 and 3 (9.40, 9.80) and the Toss Event Heat 1 (9.70). Against AB, the heats Ziser competed in averaged a 9.77 while the Bobcats posted a season-best 101.270 in the Team Event.
• Against King Univesity, Ziser was 4-2, helping Quinnipiac to wins in the Compulsory Acro (9.50), the Pyramid Heat 2 (9.90), the Toss Heat 1 (9.85) and the Triple Pass (8.950) while she also was part of the 7 Element team that posted a 9.65 and the Pyramid Heat 3 that posted a 9.90 and lost to a perfect 10. Against King, Ziser averaged a 9.62.
NCATA PRESEASON POLL
Quinnipiac was picked to finish third in the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) preseason coaches' poll. Baylor was picked to finish first with 12 first-place votes followed by Oregon, who received the other first-place vote. Quinnipiac, at third, preceded Hawaii Pacific, Azusa Pacific, Fairmont State, Alderson-Broaddus, Gannon, King, Concordia-Wisconsin, Glenville State, Georgetown College and Adrian.
ECAC ACROBATICS & TUMBLING
Quinnipiac and NCATA members Alderson-Broaddus, Gannon and King were announced as members of the newly-formed Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Acrobatics & Tumbling League. The formation of the league will signal an additional championship for the sport that continues to grow, nationally.

Noelle Brasier (Simi Valley, California), Kelsey Rule (Kendall Park, New Jersey) and Allee Tallman (Farmington, New York) will serve as captains for the 2017 season, as voted on by the team's coaching staff and student-athletes.
