Stern Claims 3B Singles Flight Championship at CT State Championships

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut - The Quinnipiac men's tennis team completed play the CT State Championship Sunday. Axel Stern (Tustin, California) captured the Flight 3B Championship.

BOBCATS HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE WEEKEND

Stern picked up two victories in singles play, defeating Sacred Heart, 7-5, 6-0 and then defeating Boston College, 6-1, 6-1 before defeating Marist in the finals 6-1, 6-4.
Julian Rozenstein struck for two wins during the weekend before dropping the Singles 1A Draw Finals Sunday.
Rozenstein also struck for a Doubles Draw A victory paired with Patrick Cachapero (Loma Linda, California).
Austin Yannone (Serverna Park, Maryland) and Hielke Moore ( Fredericton, New Brunswick) scored three victories in the Doubles B Draw play on their way to the Doubles B flight finals.
The duo dropped the finals contest to Sacred Heart in a hard-fought battle, 7-6.
