QU Women's Tennis' Lu and Rodriguez Compete at Hofstra Invitational

LONG ISLAND, New York - The Quinnipiac women's tennis team's Jennifer Lu (Cypress, California) and Layla Rodriguez (Rancho Santa Margarita, California) shined at the Hofstra University Invitational Tournament this weekend, advancing to the A Doubles Bracket Championships.

NOTES

Rodriguez and Lu combined for two wins for the Bobcats in the A Doubles Bracket, including a victory over Fordham's Carina Ma and Estelle Wong, 7-6 (8-3).
Ma and Wong were undefeated to start the 2017-18 season until being defeated by Lu and Rodriguez.
Rodriguez and Lu were eventually defeated by Tatiana Grigoryan and Giana Insogna of Fordham in a hard-fought championship match, 6-4.
Lu also scored a victory in the Singles A bracket, 6-4,1-6,12-10, before falling in the quarterfinals.
