The back and forth match went a tiebreaker set where the Bobcats eventually pulled away with the victory to take doubles point with the 8-7 (7-5) win.
In singles play, the Bobcats took five of six matches to secure their third consecutive conference victory to open up the MAAC season. Julian Rozenstein (Marlboro, New Jersey) cruised to an easy straight set victory over Amyot, 6-0, 6-2, for his 29th victory of the season.
