
Stony Brook Sweeps Men's Tennis, 7-0

HAMDEN, Conn. - Stony Brook defeated the Quinnipiac University men's tennis team, 7-0, Sunday afternoon on the Quinnipiac Outdoor Tennis Courts. Faced with a rash of injuries, the undermanned Bobcats fell to 5-11 with the loss, while the Seawolves improved to 4-7.
Andrew Weeden (Martinsville, N.J.) and Alex Lazerowich (Stratham, N.H.) put up the best fight for the Bobcats, falling 8-7 (7-3), at No. 1 doubles to Ivan Rummel and Roope Kailaheimo.
The Bobcats return to action Friday, when they travel to Fairfield, Conn., to face intrastate NEC rival Sacred Heart. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
