
Women's Tennis Falls At UMass, 6-1

AMHERST,
Mass. - Adrienne Markison (Princeton, N.J.) won her No. 2 singles
match, but the Quinnipiac University women's tennis team was
defeated at Massachusetts, 6-1, Saturday afternoon. With the loss,
the Bobcats fall to 1-3, while the Minutewomen improve to
5-3.
Markison defeated Julia Comas, 7-5, 4-6, 1-0, at No. 2 singles to account for the Bobcats' lone point on the day.
Rachel Cantor (Short Hills, N.J.) also played a highly-competitive match at No. 1 singles, but fell, 6-3, 6-4, to Yuliana Motyl.
The Bobcats return to action Friday, when they travel to West Point, N.Y., to take on Army. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m.
