
Men's Tennis Beats Saint Francis (Pa.), 4-0, In NEC Quarterfinals

The Bobcats got things started by taking the doubles point. James Kwei (Dedham, Mass.) and Brian Mikkelson (Mequon, Wis.) took an 8-4 victory at No. 1 over Elahn Pogue and Nathaniel Fleiming, while Charlie Feldman (Easton, Conn.) and Dillon Kraus (Bayside, N.Y.) defeated Andres Rosa and Peter Dietrich, 8-3, at No. 3. Andrew Weeden (Martinsville, N.J.) and John Hughes' (Springfield, Mass.) match against Stephen Kowalski and Steven Child at No. 2 was halted with the Bobcats leading, 7-4.
Garrett Lane (Reading, Mass.) blanked Child, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles to put the Bobcats up, 2-0, before Hughes made it 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-0, victory over Fleiming at No. 2. Weeden clinched the victory with 6-0, 6-2, win at No. 3 over Kowalski.
The Bobcats also led the remaining three matches that were halted. Mikkelson took the first set, 6-4, before trailing, 2-1, in the second set to Pogue at No. 1. Feldman was cruising, 6-1, 4-1, at No. 5, while Alex Lazerowich (Stratham, N.H.) led Dietrich, 6-3, 3-0, at No. 6.
