
Men's Cross Country Places Eighth At NEC Championships

BRITAIN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac men's cross country team finished
eighth with 225 points at the Northeast Conference Cross Country
Championships on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Stanley Quarter Park in New
Britain, Conn. Central Connecticut State won its second consecutive
NEC Championship with 30 points, while Saint Francis (Pa.) and
Sacred Heart placed second and third, respectively.
"The men's team had some great performances today," said Head
Coach Carolyn Martin. "Although it's been a building year, some of
the men ran personal bests today, so we're really looking forward
to Regionals and continuing to improve individually."
Finishing first for Quinnipiac and 24th overall was
sophomore Mike Levine (Redding, Conn.) with a time of 26:38. Brian
Cotter (Huntington, N.Y.) finished second for the Bobcats and
48th overall in 27:27. Quinnipiac's third runner to
finish was Dylan DeNuzzo (Melville, N.Y.) in 27:39 in
53rd place. Richard Stoliker (Shelton, Conn.) finished
in 59th place overall with a time of 27:55. The fifth
finisher for the Bobcats, placing 64th overall, was John
Healy (Middletown, N.J.) with a time of 28:04.
The men are scheduled to race at the NCAA Regionals at Hammonasset
State Park in Madison, Conn. on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 1:15 p.m.
